Sk, Beni n me were discussing abt this topic on friday at vivocity. Its quite interesting when one really go abt thinking abt the different situations...

(1) There is a pretty gal who jump into the sea. You are the nearest to the scene. What would be your immediate action?

(2) There is a ugly gal who jump into the sea. You are the nearest to the scene. What would be your immediate action?

(3) There is a man who jump into the sea. You are the nearest to the scene. What would be your immediate action?

(4) There is a person who jump into the sea. No one else is at the scene. You jump for the rescue. However, that person is putting too much resistance. Now, either you give up the rescue and let the person die or you continue to try to rescue but both of you die. What would be your immediate action?

(5) There is a person who jump into the sea. No one else is at the scene. You jump for the rescue. However, that person is putting too much resistance and holding very closely to you. Now, either you knock him down and let him die as you swim back to shore with your remaining strength or you continue to try to rescue but both of you die. What would be your immediate action?

(6) You and a friend were stuck in a car which is sinking into the sea. Your friend's leg is stuck. If you escape, you have 100% of surviving. If you try to bring along your friend, chances of both of you surviving is low. What would be your immediate action?

(7) You and your darling were stuck in a car which is sinking into the sea. Your darling's leg is stuck. If you escape, you have 100% of surviving. If you try to bring along your darling, chances of both of you surviving is low. What would be your immediate action?

Actually, sk came out with these thought experiments while we were facing the sea. Most of our answers are similar. But our conclusion is that one would neva be able to foresee one's action till we are in that situations.
